Pure Environmental names new chair as it eyes off further expansion

Pure Environmental (Pure) has today announced the election of Stephen Gostlow as Non – Executive Chairman.

Mr Gostlow has a long and decorated career spanning 25 years in the Australian waste management industry.

Steve was Managing Director of Tox Free Solutions Ltd (ASX code: TOX) for 16 years, with overall responsibility for the company’s strategic growth and operations. During his tenure, he developed Toxfree into one of Australia’s largest waste management companies.

He also has significant Board experience and expertise in waste treatment, waste treatment technologies and regulatory compliance.

Steve’s election brings significant experience that will continue to help establish Pure as a leader in its sector, as both the public and private sector continue to move towards increasing circularity of the economy.

Mr Gostlow said he was excited to be elected to the role and to becoming part of the Pure family.

“It’s an exciting time to join Pure and I’m thrilled that I have the privilege to be part of a business that is truly transforming the circular economy. We have a great team and well-defined strategy and I’m looking forward to an exciting future with Pure”.

Founder and Interim Chair Peter Goodwin said Mr Gostlow’s election came at an important time for Pure, as it continues in expansion through 2023 and beyond.

“I’m thrilled that Steve Gostlow has been elected the Chairman of Pure. Steve brings a wealth of market knowledge, and industry experience, and I have no doubt he and our team will deliver on our strategy and lead the business through what will be an exciting next twelve months as we further develop and grow our capabilities.”

Steve will complement the Pure Board with experts in M&A, financial, waste and workforce management.

The election of Steve early in 2023 will help Pure continue to build upon its successes as it looks to become Australia’s leading circular economy organisation.
