Steve Gostlow

With over 25 years of experience in the Australian waste management industry, Steve is an industry veteran. He served as Managing Director of Tox Free Solutions Ltd for 16 years, where he was responsible for strategic growth, employee management, and operations.

John Richards

John is a Director at JJ Richards & Sons Pty Ltd, the largest privately-owned waste management business in Australia and New Zealand. His experience spans various waste management services across numerous sectors.

Mark Scott

Mark founded WestRex Services, Queensland’s premier hazardous waste management company, with multiple facilities across the state and aspirations for diverse processing expansions, including composting.

Peter Goodwin

Peter boasts 25 years in Australia’s waste management sector, holding top roles at Veolia, Toxfree Solutions, and BHP. He’s served on various industry boards and advised waste management firms.

Joshua Derrington

Joshua serves as the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer with Alvia Asset Partners. His diverse 16-year experience in business and finance spans multiple industries and geographies.

Declan Sherman

With over 20 years of global experience in managing and investing in companies, Declan brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous role as Managing Director and CEO of PeopleIN, and his experiences with Macquarie Bank and Everlight Capital.

Kaitlin Tierney

Kaitlin’s 14-year experience in the waste industry spans areas such as environment, legal, people and industrial relations, compliance, systems insurance, and governance. Currently, she heads Corporate Governance for JJ Richards & Sons Pty Ltd and its associated entities.

David is a Chartered Accountant and a versatile leader with diverse financial and commercial skills. He has served in senior financial roles at EY, Toxfree Ltd (Daniels Health), and Viva Energy Ltd group.

Elliot Ruseler

Elliot is an accomplished commercial executive with over a decade of experience in the waste industry, having held senior finance positions across the sector. As Chief Financial Officer at Pure Environmental, Elliot leads the company’s financial strategy, governance, and performance management. He brings extensive expertise in financial planning, strategic development, corporate governance, and stakeholder engagement.

Rachel Irvine Marshall

With over 25 years in the waste industry, including senior corporate and executive roles, Rachel brings strategic leadership in health & safety, environment, risk management, people and culture, and sustainability.  Her people-driven leadership style is focused on fostering a culture of diversity, trust, collaboration, and learning, while maintaining accountability and transparency.

David Powell

Executive General Manager – QLD

David is an esteemed leader in the Australian liquid and hazardous waste sector, and he holds a Bachelor of Business Management. With an impressive career spanning over 25 years, David has honed his expertise in this field through many senior roles. 

In addition to his professional achievements, David has also been an active board member of the Waste Recycling Industry Association of Queensland (WRIQ) for the past two years, serving as the Treasurer on the Board.

Brad Gornall

Executive General Manager – WA

With over 20 years of experience in the waste management sector having held several senior executive roles. A professional in all facets of waste and environmental management, logistics, and heavy industrial services, Brad combines operational expertise with strategic leadership and strong people skills to drive operational performance, safety, and sustainability outcomes across his portfolio at Pure.

Ged is a Petroleum Geologist with 27 years in waste and industrial services. Served at Transpacific, Toxfree, Veolia, and established businesses in Australia and the UK.
